How does MoleMedic detect abnormal moles?

MoleMedic is a consultation with an experienced doctor who will fully check and examine your skin. Your mole/s will be scanned with the handheld SIAscope, which is a completely safe and painless procedure and produces images which are 1000 times more visible than can be seen by the naked eye. The images show the composition of your mole to a depth of 2mm.

Five very high resolution images

Five very high resolution images of each mole help determine if the mole is possibly malignant. These images show the levels of melanin, collagen, blood supply (haemoglobin), and dermal melanin, as well as the more common and simple dermatoscopic image produced by most mole scanning clinics.
